Policy statement

Akshar Dies & Tools believes that every injury and every incident can be prevented. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our employees, contractors and visitors, and to reducing the environmental impact of our operations.

To achieve this we will:

• Comply with applicable health, safety and environmental laws in India, including the requirements of the Factories Act and the conditions of our consents.
• Identify hazards, assess risks and put controls in place before work begins.
• Guard machinery, control hot work, lifting and work at height, and provide suitable personal protective equipment.
• Train our people and encourage them to stop any job they believe is unsafe.
• Report and investigate incidents and near misses, and act on what we learn.
• Use energy, steel, paints and consumables efficiently, and segregate, store and dispose of waste responsibly.
• Prevent pollution from fumes, dust, noise, effluent and spills.
• Set objectives, measure performance and continually improve.

Responsibility

Management is accountable for health, safety and environmental performance. Every employee and contractor must follow safe working procedures and report hazards. This policy is reviewed regularly and communicated to everyone who works at our site.
